Joerg Heber
Senior Editor at Nature Materials and freelance science writer

I am a physicist with several years research experience in the UK, US and Germany, including industry, who now works at the interface between science and the communication of scientific results. In my role as editor of a leading multidisciplinary scientific journal I see world-class science on a daily basis and have established close ties to many leading scientists not only in physics but also from related disciplines.

As a science writer, I have a track record of publishing in-depth news features in magazines such as Nature and New Scientist and am also a frequent contributor to a number of smaller publications with global audience.

For a summary of my scientific writings, see my features page, but also take a look at my editorial projects at Nature Materials. More details about my professional background can be found on my biography page. To learn more about my broad range of interests, twitter is a good start.
